As dreamy as the University life seems, it isn’t always what you thought it would be. It’s so many things that you can’t even imagine can exist unless you experience them for yourself. And this is exactly how your everyday for next three-years is going to be – A Bundle of Contradictions. With every step you take, you will be shown two other ways do it. You arrive here on the door step of PGs without knowing the A of adulting and thinking you know it all but there’s one thing you have often heard but never faced- Life being a bitch. It will put you in front of situations where you wouldn’t like any given option but still would have to decide.
Get ready to dance to the music where notes go up and down and the frenzy manages to make you dance like a clown.
Brace yourselves! We are going to give you a glimpse of a journey that you are about to undertake. It might end after three years but the memories will stay on forever. You are not enrolling yourself just for a three-year course but a complete package of magic and madness.
As culturally diverse as this NCT is, you will be amazed at the even more diverse life that this University offers. Students from so many backgrounds with their hearts full of hopes and suitcases full of love come here every year that it becomes impossible to not welcome them with wide arms.
Get your gears ready because it’s time to run around on open roads at night, break stereotypes, attend fests, make it through the Bhasad during Student elections, experience all sorts of delicious food without burning a hole in your pocket, manage your attendance, meet all kinds of people, pulling all-nighters before exam, group studies, being proud of celebrity alumni, multitasking, getting all dressed up for freshers, crying during month ends and spending all you can during the month beginnings.
Welcome monsoon with the greener campus and the nostalgic vibes and autumn with the beautiful crunchy yellow-orangish leaves. Come running because there’s a lot of beauty to intake. No matter how many low days you have, you will always find this strange DU spirit cheering you up. There will be many firsts and many lasts. You will meet some monkeys that will keep stealing your food forever and there will be some who will let you have theirs. Some days will feel like everything is coming down crashing around you but you will get up, dust yourself up and continue walking because that’s growing up. That’s adulting. That’s being mature. That’s cool.
At the end, I am not going to promise that it will be a bed of roses but I can assure you, it will never get boring. On days it might suck but on others you are going to love it.
