The University of Delhi is preparing to host the highly anticipated Students’ Union Elections for the
year 2023. The university is famous for its academic excellence and vibrant student life. The
elections, which are scheduled for September 22, appear to be a significant event that will influence
student leadership and representation within the university.
The Delhi University Students Union (DUSU) elections and the election of central council members
have both lately been given a full schedule by the university administration. The schedule that has
been made public states that candidates must submit their candidature papers by September 12th.
The official Delhi University website, du.ac.in, provides easy access to these papers for download.
Candidates interested in campaigning for position in the DUSU elections must submit nomination
papers, an accompanying demand draft for Rs 500, and an affidavit in order to formally declare their
candidature. The Chief Election Officer’s office, which is housed in the university’s botany
department, will host this submission procedure. The submission of nomination papers will take
place inside the respective colleges for those who are interested in candidature in the central council
elections.
There will be two time slots available for the voting process, which is a crucial component of every
democratic election. The voting period will be open to students attending day sessions from 8:30 am
to 1 pm. Voting hours for students attending evening sessions, however, will be from 3 pm to 7:30
pm.

The nomination papers can be submitted easily by candidates through Delhi University. Candidates
may submit their required nomination papers in the designated sealed box at the election officer’s
office between the hours of 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. on any working day. Candidates are also advised to
become familiar with the DUSU constitution, the Code of Conduct, along with relevant decisions
from the courts like the Supreme Court’s guidelines on student union elections and NGT orders. This
