Finally, after toiling for two years, I got the privilege to become a part of Hansraj College – which boasts of a glorious past and promises a bright future. For me as a freshman, the transition from the ‘shell’ of school to the ‘ocean’ of college life has been an overwhelming experience.
Be it the transition from monotonous school uniforms to the glamorous fashion of the divas; From Strict School time table to mass bunks; Or from ‘early to bed’ to late-night parties, I have tried my best to enjoy every bit of this absolute freedom.
They say only those as lucky as ‘Jon Snow’ and studious as ‘Hermione’ get Hansraj College Hostel, but I, though not even close to the latter, got a room here. Maybe Lady Luck was pleased with me.
I have eaten more Chicken and ‘Paneer’ one month into the hostel then I have probably in the last year.
How can you enjoy college life without joining a few of the societies?
So, I thought of giving it a shot.
But the Enactus form squeezed every bit of my limited vocabulary and that too in vain.
Since NSS didn’t ask for a resume, I joined it without giving even a thought. But my first day at ‘ Padhaku ’ was a once-in-a-lifetime experience. The big smile on those innocent faces and their inspiring stories rejuvenated me after a hectic day at college.
College and Hangouts are synonymous and as of now ‘Sudama’ tea stall and ‘Tom uncle Maggi Point’ are our evening ‘ hot-spots ’.
You haven’t tried them yet ? Go and have a sip sometime.(
PS: I am free too!) So, enough of writing. I have to rush to grab a pizza. Election time you know!
